Help Daria Fund Her University Tuition

 

I am studying Aerospace Engineering MEng at the University of Bristol.

 

As you may know, I have started a campaign to get my school, Fettes College investigated for covering up issues regarding neglect, sexual assault, LGBT+ issues and racial hatred. As a result of that, some of my family found out about it, as they were going to sooner or later. They were extremely unhappy about it and told me to "shut up" and "get over it". I told them that it caused real immediate trauma to me and so many other people and it would be extremely unjust to just "shut up" about it. As a reaction to that, they have pulled my funding for university, and as an international student from a very low income background, I'm obviously unable to afford it myself. 

 

The university said that I cannot get any more scholarships or bursaries, since I've already commenced my studies, and my existing scholarship doesn't cover the full costs of tuition.

 

Next year I am applying for the UK settlement scheme, so I am able to access student loans and never rely on my relatives ever again. I also have a job which helps me pay my rent. The settlement scheme application can take anywhere up to 2 years to get processed, therefore I need to cover my part of tuition for at least 1 year.

 

 I am asking you to help me out by sharing this and if you are able to, donating to this cause, as the implications of it will see me dropping out of university and not getting an education.
