My name is Darcy, and I’m reaching out because my son and I are facing a situation I never imagined. A devastating flood destroyed our home, leaving us with almost nothing. We lost our clothing, beds, couch, and even the basics that make a place feel like home. On top of that, finding a new place to live has been even harder because of the extra deposits required for our pets. I work full time at a Domestic Violence shelter, helping others find safety and hope, but now I find myself in need of shelter, too.

Right now, my son and I are homeless. He has very little clothing, and we’re struggling to find stability. The support from this fundraiser will help us secure a safe place to live, cover the deposits we need, and replace some of the essentials we lost. It’s hard to ask for help, but I know that with a little support, we can start to rebuild and find hope again.
