Hi everyone. I am starting this fundraiser for my sister Darcy. Many of you know that Darcy has struggled with MS for over 20 years.  She has secondary progressive MS which is the fastest in progression in terms of visible and non-visible symptoms. Over the past 6 months Darcy’s symptoms have advanced significantly.  

Darcy has PSW support however this has also been a struggle as there is a lack of support workers in general. One of Darcy’s PSWs is leaving for a month and she is having trouble finding a replacement.  Over the years Darcy has had trouble with this as many PSWs have expectations in terms of payment. 

It may seem surprising to some people that in Ontario it’s not easy to get support - it is truly eye opening when you have a family member who is medically fragile and they can’t get the care they need. 

For all of you lucky people who have had the pleasure of knowing this amazing human - you are aware of her beauty, light and strength. She is truly the most amazing person I know.

Please consider donating - Darcy is nearing palliative care and this will allow her the dignity to live at home with her wonderful partner Bobby for a little longer.
