Donna Salvini is organizing this fundraiser to benefit Independent Labrador Retriever Rescue of Southern California.

We first met 131 lb, 7-yr-old Darby laying on the shelters concrete floor. Besides being so overweight he could not move, darby had a very large tumor on his chest which he'd been laying on, causing extreme pain and infection.

After NSAIDS, exercise, thyroid medication and time, Darby was finally walking! He had lost almost 20 lbs and was up to 5 blocks a day when he tore his anterior cruciate ligament! This must be surgically repaired. The TPLO surgery alone is $4,500 and he will still require mass removal, biopsy, a drain, oral extractions, hospitalization, follow ups, and more which is not included.

We cannot help this poor dog without you.

We anticipate Darby to cost between $5,500-6,500. WE THINK HE IS WORTH IT!!!!!
