We’re reaching out to ask for help for Dante, my sister Liz’s beloved Italian Greyhound. On the night of July 21, Dante suffered a serious accident and broke his leg in two places. The injury is severe and requires major orthopedic surgery to repair.

The good news is that the veterinary team is confident Dante can make a full recovery—but only with surgery. The cost, however, is overwhelming, and our family is facing a vet bill of over $7,000.

Dante is still his playful, sweet, and happy self, even through the pain. His tail wags, his eyes are bright, and he’s fighting hard to get back to doing what he loves most: running freely and snuggling close.
