Dante was a happy, playful dog until last Wednesday, when everything changed. After taking him to get his shots, we noticed he wasn’t himself—he stopped eating, became less playful, and just wanted to lay down. My girlfriend and I hoped it was just a reaction to the vaccination, but as the days went by, Dante’s condition only got worse. Worried, we rushed him to the ER, where we received the heartbreaking news that he had tested positive for parvovirus. We had to hospitalize our baby right away, and the bills quickly added up. We’ve already spent a significant amount to keep Dante hospitalized and on medication. The doctor says his health is improving, but we’re running low on funds and can’t afford to stop his treatment now.
