Hello all, my name is Ryder Cauley, a long-time friend of Dan'O's in Colorado. As we all know through our own special friendship and experiences with Dano, to say we're blessed to have him be a part of our lives is an absolute understatement.

Dano is confronting a very intimidating and scary health scare with being diagnosed with bladder cancer. About six months ago Dano was experiencing abdominal pain which he suspected was kidney stone-related. In researching this further, Dano learned (August 1st) that through an ultrasound and CT scan he had contracted a tumor in his bladder. Subsequent surgery to remove the tumor has been unsuccessful, but it did reveal the type and location of the cancer. The cancer is called “Squamish Cell Carcinoma” and it has invaded the bladder wall. Because of its location and progress into the muscle, it eliminated many medical options besides radical bladder surgery called “radical cyst prostatectomy”.

Currently, Dano is at his cabin in Colorado navigating our healthcare system while preparing for surgery which we're hoping will take place before the end of the month. There's a very critical and important meeting coming up with his doctors in Denver which will reveal other very important findings about his cancer, surgery, and how his life will be post-surgery. Dano is also simultaneously actively working his network and pushing to get into Sloan Kettering as soon as possible.

The out-of-pocket costs for surgery and post-surgery care for Dano will be astronomical, so we are carefully asking for your love to support him in his battle with bladder cancer.
