One week ago today, on the evening of 5/9/2022, my uncle/godfather was driving south on Ridgewood Road in Port Orange/Daytona, Florida. He was going to meet a friend to attend a meeting when he was struck by a car and thrown about 20 yards off his motorcycle.

 

Since then, he has been suffering from a severe traumatic brain injury and extensive damage to his right leg. Doctors are working very hard to save his leg, which could entail having 12 or more surgeries done. At this time, he remains unresponsive.

 

We have been told that his recovery could take more than a year. He is currently in ICU with no anticipated date for discharge to a regular medical bed. He would then go to rehab, which will likely take an extensive amount of time to recover.

 

All donations will cover medical expenses, housing expenses, and travel expenses that will help Danny's children and mother to visit him while he remains in the hospital and throughout his recovery.
