Hi. My name is Angelika. Thank you for reading our story.
On 26 December, while staying in Poland, my husband Danny suffered a sudden and serious heart attack. He was admitted to hospital immediately, fitted with a stent, and spent time in intensive care.
Since then, Danny has required further emergency treatment and has been advised by doctors that specialist cardiac rehabilitation is essential to reduce the risk of another cardiac event and to support his long-term recovery.
Due to his medical condition, Danny is currently unable to travel and must complete his rehabilitation locally in Poland under specialist supervision. The cost of this rehabilitation is not reimbursed and must be paid for privately and upfront.
We are therefore setting up this fundraiser to help cover:
• Inpatient cardiac rehabilitation
• Specialist medical monitoring
• Recovery accommodation and transport
• Follow-up cardiology care
Danny is a devoted father, husband, teacher, and artist. He is also a war veteran who served abroad, and currently serves as Chairman of his local branch of the Royal British Legion, supporting fellow veterans and their families.
In this role, he has made a significant contribution to the preservation and care of the Polish Air Memorial at RAF Chailey, which commemorates Polish airmen who served during the Second World War.
This sudden medical emergency has been frightening and life-altering for our whole family.
Any contribution — no matter how small — will help us focus on what matters most right now: his recovery and future health.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this page also helps more than you know.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support.
