This is my wonderful partner, Danny. Last year while we were on a snowboarding trip in the mountains, he experienced a horrible accident that left him with a broken spine. This was a freak injury, as Danny has been an experienced rider for many years.

Shortly before the trip, he lost his job and was left without health insurance. To say the least, his medical bills were overwhelmingly high. Luckily, state insurance was able to help back pay some, but he has been left with thousands of dollars worth of costs he simply cannot pay.

He and his family have worked hard to tackle as much of this as possible over the past year, but are still struggling. This situation has put a heavy weight on his shoulders. At this point, it feels like an endless hurdle he can’t climb over alone.
