Help Danny During Recovery from His Accident

As many of you know, Danny is an avid member of the skydiving community, regularly participating in the sport and mentoring others at his local drop zone. Unfortunately, on July 14th Danny had a serious accident while setting up to land. After being stabilized, he was rushed to the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, where doctors assessed a crushed L2 vertebrae, a broken rib and extensive bruising.
Danny spent three days in the ICU and underwent two spinal surgeries. While recovering in the hospital, challenges have included managing pain, elevated blood pressure, and very high blood sugar levels caused by his body's reaction to trauma, coupled with his existing type 1 diabetes.
Despite all this, Danny has been progressing well in his recovery since surgery and is already doing daily physiotherapy. Once discharged, he will need to continue extensive physio for at least the next 12 weeks, with a full recovery projected within a year.
Danny has been hospitalized for the past three weeks, and the bills at home are piling up. Soon he will be discharged, and he will face additional expenses for groceries, insulin, and other necessities that he did not have to worry about while in the hospital.
Danny needs our support to get through the challenging months ahead. We are reaching out to friends, family, and compassionate people to help cover his expenses during the recovery period while his income will be non-existent. Any amount helps, and even sharing this page can make a difference.
