A Call for Support: Danny Dupree’s Journey to Recovery

I’m reaching out to share the story of a truly incredible man, Danny Dupree. A loving father, devoted husband, and proud grandpa, Danny is a warrior who has been facing the ultimate battle — awaiting both a heart and kidney transplant. Through it all, he has shown unwavering faith and strength. His journey is a testament to the power of hope, perseverance, and the grace of God.

Danny’s faith in God has carried him through some of the toughest days, and we believe, with continued prayer and support, that he will be restored to full health. However, the financial burden of his journey is immense. Between medical costs, medications, travel expenses, and unmet deductibles, the financial strain on Danny and his family has been overwhelming.

Danny has always been there for his family and his community, offering love and support. Now, more than ever, he needs the support of those around him. His road to recovery will require additional treatments, ongoing medications, and frequent travel for appointments — all of which come with a hefty price tag. This is where we need your help.

Danny and his family humbly ask for your support during this difficult time. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward covering medical expenses, medications, and travel costs that are essential for Danny’s treatment and recovery. For the past 14 years, Danny has faced numerous health challenges, but through it all, he continues to declare this powerful verse over his life and health. Throughout his journey, he has witnessed countless miracles, signs, and wonders. He has endured three strokes, a heart attack, multiple surgeries and procedures, an implanted pacemaker/defibrillator, 11 shocks, 2 life flights, and numerous hospital stays. Danny’s Cardiology team at Houston Methodist has diagnosed him with End Stage Heart Failure, with an Ejection Fraction of just 20%. Initially, we had hoped that treatments, including medications and an ICD (pacemaker/defibrillator), would help stabilize his condition. Unfortunately, his health has continued to decline, and he is now in a critical state. Danny is currently listed as status 4 on the transplant waitlist.

Yet, Danny remains steadfast in his trust and faith in the Lord.

Now, as he awaits a heart and kidney transplant, Danny is filled with hope and gratitude for the opportunity to be listed for this life-changing procedure. He looks forward to being more active with his family and friends—fishing, hunting, farming, and ranching—without the overwhelming exhaustion he has been living with.
