Hi everyone, my name is Jocelyn, and I am writing this to ask for support for my godfather, Danny. In February 2026, our world was turned upside down when Danny was admitted to the hospital with a ruptured appendix. What we thought would be a routine procedure turned into a nightmare when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 appendix cancer, which has spread to the peritoneum. Having had no symptoms beforehand, this was the last thing we ever expected to hear. He has been given a two-year life expectancy at only 51 years old. As we’ve navigated this diagnosis and researched similar stories of stage four cancer, we’ve learned one thing: we can fight this together.
Because this is a very advanced diagnosis, Danny is unable to work right now. Between upcoming intensive chemotherapy, surgery, and traveling to see specialists, the medical bills are piling up faster than we can manage. We are seeking out top experts to ensure he has the best possible chance at beating this.
Danny is a caring person who is always the first to offer help to a friend or family member in need. Personally, there have been countless times where I’ve called him in the middle of the night for comfort through panic attacks and moments of loneliness. He always answers first ring. Watching someone so full of life face such a brutal diagnosis has been heart-wrenching. We are currently anticipating starting aggressive chemotherapy, depending on a second opinion, to fight this with everything he has.
The funds raised will help cover Danny's medical bills, travel for treatment, and daily living expenses as he focuses on his recovery. If you cannot donate, we ask that you please share this page, send prayers, or send a message of encouragement. Thank you for being part of Danny’s cornerstone. We are fighting to get him to NED (No Evidence of Disease)!
