Hey there - my name is Emily and I have been a friend of Dannielle's since middle school. Our other childhood friends, Tamara and Melanie, have joined me in creating this fundraiser for her. If you know Dannielle, you know that she has already endured more heartbreak than most experience in a lifetime, and she now finds herself facing yet another unimaginable battle - Stage III breast cancer.
As a Stage III breast cancer survivor myself (Emily), I know how incredibly hard treatment is on the body and mind, and also - how hard it is to ask for help.
A few years ago her family suffered the unthinkable: the tragic loss of four of their six children in a house fire that also took their home, farm, and animals. As she has grieved, she has also leaned into her faith and continues to move forward with grace, compassion, and an unbreakable spirit — becoming a living testimony of God’s strength in the darkest valleys.
But this new cancer diagnosis has brought overwhelming financial strain on their home, family, and farm. She is no longer able to work and carry out her farm duties, due to being too weak and sick from cancer treatment. Though her husband Matt works, their income disqualifies them from Medicaid and many assistance programs. She is on a waitlist for SSDI (Disability), but that decision could take up to two years and is not guaranteed approval. Yet the amount of bills and expenses continue to mount rapidly.
Financial assistance is needed for:
- Tremendous medical bills
- Insurance costs, co-pays, deductibles, etc.
- Travel to and from appointments (including her upcoming radiation treatments, which will be a 4-hour drive, every day for 6 weeks)
- Loss of income for Dannielle
- Loss of income for Matt (who has had to miss a lot of work)
- Farm help (they've had to pay for help taking care of the animals and her home)
- Farm costs (hay for horses, supplies, etc)

Dannielle's strength has always been found in trusting God, not leaning on others. But even the strongest servants sometimes need their community to become God’s hands and feet. This fundraiser is meant to lift the heavy burden from her shoulders so she can focus on healing, resting, and trusting in God’s promises instead of worrying about how to survive financially.
Every donation, prayer, and share is a tangible act of love — a reminder that she is not alone and that God’s people surround her.
