Help Danni get treatment

Hi everyone.

My name is Simone, and my beautiful sister, Danni Jones, 39 Hobart , was previously diagnosed with bowel cancer that had metastasised to her liver .

After a few surgeries and numerous rounds of chemo, and a hospital admission on mothers day with Sepsis, we received  some great news last year that she was in remission and was cancer free !!! But unfortunately that was short lived, as a couple of months ago, we were told it had returned in her liver and has now metastasised to her lungs

Danni underwent surgery a few weeks ago where they intended on only removing 5% of her liver, however they ended up  removing 50% . She has since had reoccurring infections in her liver which is painful and slowing down the healing process.

Danni's Oncology team told her that the radiation therapy she requires to try and treat the spots on her lungs,  is only available through a private clinic in Hobart.

This means that there will be an out of pocket expense to pay for the radiation.

They may subsidise the cost of the treatment , but she will still be heavily out of pocket- which is tough at the moment considering the current climate and that she has 4 children .

We understand life is tough for everyone in Australia right now right,  without having to worry about the additional costs of treatment.

My siblings and I have never ever been ones to ask for help from anyone , we have always been the helpers, so to have to swallow our pride and ask for a help  is something beyond our comfort zones. But the health of our family is the most important thing in our world ❤️ Our mother has been making stickers and drink bottles to raise funds and I am doing this to help raise a bit more.
