Dannell's CRPS journey, help her walk pain free

Hi!! My name is Cyndy and this is for my sister Dannell!
So, I never really knew what CRPS was until my sister was diagnosed last year and her whole world came to an immediate halt one day.
Two years ago she lived a very full busy life with two jobs and two daughters with her husband. One of her jobs she loved was working at her daughter’s elementary school as a Campus Support Assistant , being able to be outside with students during recess and lunches helping the teachers get their well deserved breaks. After a long day she would go to her full time job in the evening as an Assistant Manager were she share her passion in leadership. She rarely had a full day off but always managed time for her family.
The unfortunate day, she happened to be off from her evening job running in to grab something for dinner when she got injured to the back of her left ankle. While things didn't seem too bad, things just never healed and pain gradually got worse.
She was unable to walk on her left foot or apply any kind of pressure , she became nearly bed bound and hasn’t been able to go back to work. Her whole world just stopped dead in its tracks with no answers from multiple doctors and specialists. Countless Doctors and physical therapy appointments, it took her 6 months just to be able to stand again utilizing walking assistance like a knee walker/scooter that she couldn’t even fit into her car.
Regardless of any sign of improvement on her mobility the pain remained constant with every step along with multiple random flare ups. I couldn't imagine the pain she describes to me “Ice burning fire with an intense urge to scratch without any sense of relief” she says it feels like walking barefoot on razor sharp rocks. She is now cane bound as the pains intensify randomly without warning rhyme or reason causing swelling, dystonia (locked muscles), extreme sensitivity to touch causing the unability to wear socks let alone shoes.
It has been a year and a half since the accident and now the Doctors are no longer optimistic about recovery and have started her on a path of pain management with spinal cord stimulator surgery to maybe help counter the pain.
When we thought this was her only hope, she reshearched and found a second opinion with a peripheral nerve surgeon, Dr. Tollestrap. He believes he has the potential of returning her to the pain free life before the accident. This was amazing news!
The cost sadly is entirely out of pocket, shes nearly at her goal has the Doctors fees, and anesthesia. She is short on the facility fee and needs help meeting the last expense. In hopes she doesn't miss this opportunity if you can find a way to help her reach her goal or sharing her story would be genuinely appreciated!
I love you Seastar.
“Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is a form of chronic pain that usually affects an arm or a leg. complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) typically develops after an injury, a surgery, a stroke or a heart attack. The pain is out of proportion to the severity of the initial injury.
CRPS is uncommon, and its cause isn't clearly understood. Treatment is most effective when started early. In such cases, improvement and even remission are possible.“
