In October, 2016, Danna Scott was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer which has metastasized to her hip bone. Our family have been doing our best to come to grips with this. Though she's always had plenty of spunk, Danna has such an innocent, gentle soul with a huge heart and love for animals. At birth she was diagnosed with mild Cerebral Palsy, but for 52 years she has been living a full life extending far beyond what the doctors predicted for her future.
Danna has started her oral chemo treatment, plus injections to strengthen the bones. At present, she is doing okay, just pretty tired. She is currently working and hopes to be able to fight this for a long time. She says she is going to break records, and we love that positive attitude!
Danna has been a dedicated, hard working employee at Hy-Vee for 19 years! Though she is determined to work for as long and as much as she can, she lives on a very modest income. Any extra expenses in her life are very difficult for her to manage. Donations will go towards her medical expenses, any future time off of work, new clothing in the event of any weight loss, etc. Anything you are able to give is very much appreciated by the Scott family, as we all work to help her through this difficult diagnosis.
We all really appreciate an occasional prayer going up for strength and endurance for Danna, and that her body will respond well to this regiment she is on. Our faith will keep us going, as we know God is always there and cares about each and every one of His children. Thank you to all.
