Help Danika & Grace “Bleau” rebuild after flood
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Danika and I have unfortunately lost everything in the devastating record breaking Lismore flood. On Monday 27/2 at 9:40am the birds and us were rescued from the fast raising flood waters that had entered our second story apartment, a place that has never been affected by the previous floods.
All we were able to take with us was our birdies (cockatiels in a shoe box and lorikeet in a bag), the clothes on our backs and 1 backpack that had our birth certificates, bird food and laptop.
We had to leave everything, sentimental photos and family heirlooms, my work equipment & supplies, our clothes and shoes, furniture, electronics, kitchen equipment, danikas dj decks, books eta….. everything will be damaged by the flood as the water continued to rise until 3pm that day.
We moved to Lismore last September so I could be able to visit my father (who was in Pallitive care )frequently (previously we were in lockdown in Sydney and I couldn’t see him at all). Dad passed away 3 weeks ago,I spent the last 7 weeks of his life being his full time carer.
We are fundraising to rebuild our life by replacing damaged belongings and taking care of our immediate needs such as clothing, food, birdcage, accommodation etc. Any help is greatly appreciated even just by sharing this fundraiser.
This is a very challenging time for Lismore but we will get through it.
Thank you so much for all your continued love and support,
