13 year old Danika has severe scoliosis (curvature) of the spine and it is deteriorating very quickly. Long story short, the Elliotts have decided to take Danika to San Jose, California to a specialty center for care. It's $70,000 out of pocket—which will stretch them to the max—but the Elliotts think it will be worth it if it means Danika can avoid spine surgery and gives her a normal life as promised by the center.

Rebecca is feeling overwhelmed right now, but knows this is the best decision their family can make for Danika. Their anxiety is pretty high because of trying to come up with such a large amount of money within a week. The only way to get the money is to mortgage their home. They’re leaning into God and trying to take one day at a time.

Rebecca and Danika will be gone for three weeks starting mid Oct (finances allowing). After that they have to be back in San Jose for one week every 3 months.

In Rebecca’s humble way she apologizes for not being available to friends locally. And during this time will be praying for all of us while she’s dealing with her own struggles.
