This GoFundMe page is for our dear friend/sister Danika O’Leary. On April 21, 2021, Danika was horribly injured in a motorcycle accident. A driver driving a white SUV was going the wrong way. Danika swerved to avoid hitting the SUV and flew through her handlebars instead of over them. Her right arm was torn from the socket and ripped off her bicep. She tore all her rotator cuff muscles, tore her right back lateral muscle off, and to add to her injuries, both of Danika's legs got de-gloved. Due to all her injuries, she has had up to 24 surgeries so far.

Through everything, Danika has also gone through a major weight loss, losing 160 pounds prior to the accident. One thing she was so proud of was how nice her legs looked :) After the accident, Danika started her healing process but was wheelchair-bound for a year and had to learn to walk again. Danika not only has had to endure multiple surgeries, but she also suffered mentally and struggled with the trauma and depression of what happened to her, causing her to gain back 100 pounds. We are all so happy and blessed she is with us today. As of today, Danika is walking and healthy and has lost a total of 203 pounds!

However, Danika is in need of another surgery due to the skin on her legs. She recently has been denied for her surgery and needs $20,000.00 to get the s

urgery that she needs to correct the skin that’s now causing her to get infections. We are also looking into alternatives to help Danika, such as getting a second opinion and looking into other surgeons, but at the end of it all, Danika needs the surgery. So let’s all help Danika reach her goal of $20,000.00 :)
