Balbina is an incredibly devoted mother who works hard at Chiricahua Community Health Centers in Douglas, AZ. With a 3-month-old baby boy, she recently returned to work after her maternity leave in January 2025. However, her world has been turned upside down in the past week as her husband, Daniel, has suddenly fallen gravely ill. He is battling pneumonia and kidney failure, is currently receiving dialysis, and is facing further complications that are yet to be diagnosed.

Today, he was transferred to a specialized care facility that is two hours away from home, leaving Balbina and her infant son in a difficult position. They have traveled to be by his side, which means they are unable to work and are facing significant financial strain during this heartbreaking time.
