My name is Danielle, and I am asking for help for my family after the Grasshopper Fire took so much from us last night. My 96-year-old grandma and my cousin Molly who was staying with her taking care of her lost Their home my grandmas husband my grandpa built more than 40 years ago, the home she has loved and lived in for decades. My dad and stepmom also lost their house on the same property. My dad spent years as a firefighter, helping save other people’s homes, and now fire has taken his own. It all happened so fast, and they were left with almost nothing. My nephew and his girlfriend also lived there, and they have lost everything too.

Right now, I am trying to help my family get through these first overwhelming days. Donations will go toward clothes, temporary housing, food, and replacing basic essentials for my grandma, dad, stepmom, nephew, and his girlfriend as they figure out what comes next. This fire has left my family shaken and heartbroken, and the road ahead feels very hard.
