My name is Desiree Chavez. While I was going through cancer treatment, my best friend Danielle was a pivotal person for me and my mental health. She was so amazing and always there for me. Danielle created a GoFundMe for my cancer journey, and she knocked it out of the park!

Right now, she is dealing with medical issues with her cat companion, Nolan. Her and her little family are looking at upwards of $15,000 for his treatment and possible surgeries. I could never repay her for everything she did for me, so please help me help them!

From Danielle:
Nolan is about four years old and came to me through Happy Feet Pet Rescue. He was supposed to be a foster, but he quickly became family. When I first got him, he had a severe elbow infection, and the vet had to amputate his entire front leg, including the scapula, to save his life.
Recently, I noticed Nolan was urinating much more than usual. Imaging showed his bladder is very large and isn’t contracting properly. He’s been on medications to help, but they haven’t fully worked. The vet tried to place a catheter to drain his bladder, but she couldn’t locate his penis. Based on his anatomy, Nolan may be intersex, which makes his care more complicated.
Tomorrow, Nolan is seeing a specialist for advanced imaging to figure out the safest next steps, including whether surgery is necessary. This appointment is expected to cost $2,000, bringing our total out-of-pocket expenses to around $5,000. We do have some savings set aside for his care, but they’re quickly running out.
We’re doing everything we can to make sure Nolan is comfortable, and we’ll update this page after tomorrow’s appointment. Any donation or share helps us give Nolan the care he desperately needs and deserves. Thank you for helping keep this sweet, resilient boy happy and healthy.
