Help Danielle with Medical & Life Needs

Hi, I am Hanah and I am raising money for my mother, Danielle. In August of 2020, she underwent a routine surgery. Two weeks later she was hospitalized and went through an emergency surgery due to complications of the original surgery. She had an infection of her abdomen and pelvis, resulting in near sepsis like symptoms, requiring drains to be put in. Since then, she has undergone many medical emergencies. In 2021, she was diagnosed with Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency, Rapid Gastric Emptying, extreme and constant weight-loss, chronic pain, and malabsorption of nutrients needed to function through daily life. She's gone through painful pain Tap block injections at the Mayo Clinic, takes a multitude of medications daily, and has seen pain specialists in order to make living daily life more endurable. Just recently she was hospitalized again with another infection. This is something that will continue to happen over the course of her life.

Over the past two years I have sat witness to the daily struggles that my mom endures. I struggle to comprehend how she continues to care not only for herself, but for my sister and I, and the other people in her life. This is not an illness that will ever go away, it is just a matter of trying to make her every day comfortable. The past two years have been tough on her and our family and through it all I think she has been the strongest one out of all of us.

Due to her illness she is faced with the looming fact that she will have to quit working, as most days leaving bed is a challenge. Already being on a fixed income, this has caused more stress, ultimately worsening the affects of her illness. I have made this fundraiser in order to help ease that for her. Financial restraints should never keep someone from being able to take care of their health or their family.
