Help Danielle Secure a New Home

Donation protected
Hey everyone!

6 months ago I was evicted from my home after 18 months of unemployment. I have been staying with my friend’s mom since July first, and I’m very lucky to have had a safe place for me and my pets, Chomps and Diego.

Since then, I have had surgery and healed up, worked a temp job processing ballots for the election, and kept myself busy with healing, therapy and intensive self improvement.

I am finally back on my feet with a good job! After months of working on myself and my finances, I am now ready to rent a place to live once again.

My salary is enough to qualify for a one bedroom at the average market price, which is about $950 per month right now in Tucson, AZ, and I am very excited to be in the market for an apartment.

That being said, I am expecting to have to pay a large deposit, in addition to doing a whole lot of sweet talking and diplomacy and persuasion in order to qualify post eviction.

I will need faith, and fortune, and also your help to achieve my goal.

I have done my research, and I can expect to pay a full month of extra rent in advance of moving, in order to offset the risk that my new landlord will take on by renting to someone with a recent eviction.

I am hoping and praying for your assistance in raising the money that I need before move in. I had to leave everything behind, and I have no furniture and no bed to sleep on and no pots and pans or kitchen supplies. I’m starting over completely.

But I have faith, and I have people who love and care about me.

The living situation that I am currently in isn’t sustainable any longer for myself or my pets, for reasons many of you are already aware of, so I am hoping to get a place to live within the next couple of weeks.

Moving back into town will also solve my transportation challenges, since I will be back on the bus route, as opposed to continuing to stay in the foothills where there is no bus service.

Please consider donating, and sharing this fundraiser with your friends and family who might also be willing to help.

I have been homeless for six months now, and during this time I was able to get the abdominal surgery that I had been needing for almost four years. I’m very happy to report that I am fully recovered and in excellent health.

I am humbled and so very grateful to the people who have offered me (and my pets) shelter, safety, comfort and transportation to get me back on my feet again. I could never have done this without the kindness and generosity of so many people, including the strangers who have now become friends.

Surviving all of this has helped me discover a faith that I could never have imagined even a year ago, and it’s been a transformative experience that was 100% worthwhile.

I am so excited about this next chapter, and thank you so very much for your generous support.

Any amount helps. Thanks for reading.

Love,
Danielle
