For over a year, Danielle Rescigno has quietly endured an unimaginable battle. What began as headaches that never went away turned out to be something far more serious — two meningiomas, tumors growing on her brain. These have caused debilitating daily pain, loss of balance, vision damage, insomnia, and brain fog that she has fought through with quiet strength and unwavering courage.

Recently, Danielle received the devastating news that both tumors have grown, and she is now scheduled for brain surgery on November 4th, 2025, at Cooper Hospital. The operation will take place on the front left side of her brain — the area responsible for speech, language, and communication. This means that beyond the already immense challenge of brain surgery, Danielle faces the terrifying possibility of losing her ability to speak or express herself clearly, as well as potential memory and cognitive complications. The risks are real and life-changing, yet Danielle continues to face them with incredible bravery, holding onto faith and the love of her friends & family as her foundation.

Despite it all, Danielle has remained the same kind, light-hearted, selfless person she’s always been — always positive, always good for a laugh, and always the first to help someone in need. Just weeks ago, she stopped her car to help a stranger who had been in a serious motorcycle accident — that’s who Danielle is at her core: someone who helps others, even when she’s quietly fighting her own battle.

Danielle will need months — possibly years — of recovery, during which she and her husband John, a lifelong carpenter, will both be out of work. Danielle had been working at an elementary school in a role that perfectly reflects her compassion and patience. Together, they’ve spent their lives giving to others; now, they’re the ones in need of our help.

This fundraiser will help cover medical expenses, travel to and from the hospital, household bills, lost wages, and the cost of ongoing care and rehabilitation. Danielle will require constant support in the months following surgery, and the financial burden will be overwhelming without the generosity of friends, family, and the community.
