The OG story is below (originally this fundraiser was help so I could take a couple weeks off for mental health), here's what's going on now:

Time off went very well...until the Monday before I went back and I got a headache that included ocular pain. I thought it was a sinus infection from the outer rims of chaos....turns out it wasn't. A quick CT Scan later showed...I had a brain bleed

Turns out I had what they call an abnormal (or malformed) vein structure. Likely been there since birth, but the vessels grew in the wrong pattern. And these vessels, the small capillaries, were filling up with blood before the arteries were, which meant they were getting more blood than they could handle. And something caused them to finally break.

Either way brain surgery was necessary to fix the bleed. They removed part of my skull and cauterized those vessels (best as I can recall) I spent a few days recovering and then came home. Gracie cat was very mad at me cause I didn't say goodbye to her the day I entered the hospital. and for the first week she would not let go of my arm, telling me I couldn't leave again.

I'm still out of work, for at least I don't know how long to be honest, at least until the neurosurgeon can take a look at another CT scan. I'm trying different things to get money elsewhere to help cover rent and everything....but right now I need about $300 to cover phone bill, storage unit (so I can empty the thing), travel to and from doctor's appointments, and other small bills....like groceries

If you can help it would be much appreciated. If you have questions feel free to shout at me. It relieves the duldrums of being at home and not being able to do much of anything.

I am using the time as wisely as I can to find a new better paying job and figuring out how to survive the current shit storm we live in. thanks for all the help so far Gracie cat and I appreciate it. (Gracie appreciates me still being around to be her human and give her skritches on demand)

The OG Story

Hi. So my name is Danielle Anna Baum online and anywhere I can get away with it, and Shuping is my legal last name...and I need some help.

I'm the trans woman in the picture above and I work a retail job that doesn't give me benefits, don't give me FT status and thanks to working me two more hours a week, I no longer qualify for for SNAP or state benefits. And I am struggling badly lately. My mental health collapsed this past week and I need some time off to put my head back together.

Because I get paid so little and because I don't get vacation days I need some help to do that. I'm trying to raise $400 so I can take a week off work and work on self care with my cat Gracie (her picture is shown), getting my insurance for the year figured out and finding a new job.

$400 will go to cover rent and bills for that time. Anything extra will be used to save for emergencies. And hopefully for a car.
