About a month ago, my sister Danielle found an apricot-sized lump in her breast and immediately got in to have it biopsied. Everything happened so fast. Unfortunately, the test came back positive for Stage 2 breast cancer. The doctors ran a genetic test and she tested positive for the markers for colon and uterine cancer. The doctor's panel made a decision to perform a lumpectomy with radiation and she will be on hormone therapy for the rest of her life. She's currently under the knife as I write this.
To make make matters worse, the company she worked for and devoted herself to for 5 years laid her off on Monday. Her husband is only working part time at the local university. So she was the sole provider of health insurance for the family. She has been working hard to apply for jobs the last few days while at the same time having this surgery and recovery on her mind. Please donate to help with bills, food, and medical costs to give her and her husband some peace of mind during this difficult time in their lives.
We thank each and every one of you for your support. Just a little bit can go such a long way!
