We’re Danielle and Andrew—two best friends who found each other through work and became chosen family.

Our journey started with a Thanksgiving potluck and a conversation that changed everything. Danielle had just moved to California from a small town in Missouri and was living in a shelter while working full-time. I (Andrew) had recently come home after incarceration and was determined to rebuild my life. When Danielle shared her story, I knew we had to find a home together—and we did.

With the help of an angel of a landlord, we found a place that gave us stability and hope. But life threw us curveballs. Danielle lost her job after three years and has been searching ever since. I’ve been doing everything I can to stay sober and support us both, but we’ve fallen behind—over $16,000 in rent.

We’re not giving up. We’re asking for help to stay in our home, to keep this bond intact, and to keep moving forward. Every donation goes directly toward rent and essentials while we continue working toward stability.
