My name is Shelby, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my best friend, Danielle, and her sister, Dominique, after the unexpected passing of their beloved mother last week.

Danielle has been my best friend for 20 years, and her mom was like a second mother to me for much of my teenage life. She was deeply loved by her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She loved her daughters and her grandbabies so much. Her sudden passing has been heartbreaking, and Danielle and Dominique are now facing the unimaginable task of making final arrangements while grieving this tremendous loss.

One of their mom’s greatest wishes was to return home to the Dominican Republic and be laid to rest alongside her own mother. Even in the middle of their grief, Danielle and Dominique are committed to honoring that wish and making sure her final resting place is where she always wanted to be.

Unfortunately, the cost to bring her home is significant. Danielle and Dominique have confirmed that the casket and transportation from the United States to the Dominican Republic will cost $10,000. In addition to that, they will also need to cover funeral and burial expenses once she arrives in the Dominican Republic.

This sudden loss has placed an enormous financial burden on them during an already devastating time. I’m asking our community to help ease some of that burden so Danielle and Dominique can focus on honoring their mom’s life and fulfilling her final wish.

Funds raised will go directly toward:

* Casket and transportation costs from the U.S. to the Dominican Republic

* Funeral and burial expenses in the Dominican Republic

* Related costs as the family finalizes arrangements
