My name is Daniella Hope and I am an artist from the South Side of Chicago on her way to the Big Apple in the fall! I am excited to continue my journey in graduate school at Manhattan School of Music (MSM) where I will be furthering my study of jazz voice and performance.

It has been one of my childhood dreams to move to New York and uncover more depth within myself!

I am grateful to have been able to save up money during the pandemic as I worked during the school year as an assistant History Teacher and will be using said funds for my move and rent.

I received a scholarship from MSM but I am still short of $13,000 for tuition (which does not include fees, and other expenses). Therefore, I am asking for your assistance; I will need at least $30,000 to cover all my expenses.

The money raised through this gofundme will be used to help cover the remainder of my tuition, other educational fees, health-insurance, food, and transportation. It will also provide me peace of mind to focus upon my goals alleviating the stress and anxiety over my finances.

Any contribution is greatly appreciated!

If you value and appreciate Black women and the contributions we make in society, I invite you to donate; if you consume music by Black people and you are not Black I invite you to donate; if you use music to feel and heal I invite you to donate. If you are blessed with excess financial freedom, I invite you to donate. If you cannot give monetarily; thoughtful, intentful words of encouragement and affirmation as well as sharing this gofundme with others would be greatly appreciated. Your contributions will help me thrive as an artist.

I recently visited HAJI, a wellness shop in Bronzeville, Chicago, and their message to all is “thriving is our resistance.”

Thriving is MY resistance. I do not claim the “starving/struggling artist paradigm” any longer and thus I am doing something that makes me uncomfortable but is necessary for my evolution: reaching out to my community.

I am offering an incentive portion starting at those who donate at least $50.

$50 1 vocal lesson

$75 2 vocal lessons

$100 Thank you song

$200+ (personalized singing grams; 30-45 sec)
