Help Daniela Recover After a Serious Accident in the Dominican Republic
A few days ago, my close friend Daniela was in a terrible accident while here in the Dominican Republic. She suffered a broken femur, a serious ankle injury with a deep wound that required surgery to clean and repair, and a concussion that left the left side of her body numb. She now has multiple stitches, torn ligaments repaired, and she’s currently in the ICU being monitored closely.
The doctors say she still needs major surgery on her femur to stabilize the fracture so she can walk again. Without it, she risks permanent damage and lifelong complications. On top of that, the numbness from her concussion needs ongoing evaluation and treatment.
The hospital bills are overwhelming. They have already charged us thousands of dollars for the emergency care, wound surgery, ICU stay, and imaging. Now they are demanding a very large deposit before they will perform the femur surgery. Between hospital costs, surgery, medications, and rehabilitation, the total is far more than her family can afford.
We are asking for help from anyone who can support. Every donation goes directly to her care:
• Emergency wound surgery and stitches (already done)
• ICU and hospital stay
• Upcoming femur surgery with metal rod/plates
• Treatment and monitoring for her concussion and numbness
• Medications and rehabilitation so she can recover fully
Daniella is strong and fighting, but she cannot get through this without help. Please consider donating what you can, and if you can’t donate, sharing this page helps more than you know.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Daniela in this difficult time.
all donations will go towards the $32000 quoted by hospital. NO SURGERY YET due to payment not made in full.
