Help Daniela Bring Lucy Home
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a deep sense of loss. Daniela's mom, Lucy, who we all know and love, lived in Italy and passed away suddenly, leaving her family with the daunting task of bringing her ashes home to the United States and covering her funeral expenses.
Lucy was not just a mother, wife, and friend—she was a force of nature. Many of you who knew her will remember her fiery spirit, matched perfectly by her stunning red hair. She was the embodiment of strength, determination, and love. Lucy was the kind of woman who would walk into a room and command attention, not with words, but with her presence alone. She was a hard worker her entire life, and even in retirement, she NEVER STOPPED—always finding ways to keep herself busy and lend a helping hand wherever she could. We often joked that she was the embodiment of the phrase "ring of fire," and it's a joke that will forever bring a smile to our faces.
As you might imagine, dealing with the logistics of bringing Lucy’s ashes home from Italy is incredibly expensive. The costs involved are overwhelming, and her family is struggling to cover them. To add to the difficulty, Lucy's husband, Carmine "Frank," is hospitalized & not well. He cannot grant his children access to their accounts, leaving Daniela and her brothers without the necessary funds. Accessing these funds will be a long and complex process, and they simply don't have the luxury of time.
Daniela is preparing to fly to Italy this Thursday to help with the funeral arrangements and care for her father. This has been a sudden and unexpected journey, both emotionally and financially. The stress of handling these responsibilities while grieving is more than any family should have to bear alone.
We know how much Lucy meant to so many people in our city. She was loved and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In this time of need, we are humbly asking for your help. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Your support will help cover the funeral costs, bring Lucy’s ashes back to the United States, and ensure that Daniela, PJ, and Morris can focus on what truly matters—honoring their mother’s memory and caring for their father during this difficult time.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and love.
With gratitude,
Danielle
