I am writing on behalf of Daniel Walton to reach out to family and friends who may or may not know about his recent medical condition.
Daniel was admitted to the hospital on 11/23 for a severe upper leg/groin internal infection. It turned out to be a flesh-eating (Necrotizing Fasciitis) infection. Over the next 2 weeks he was required to have multiple surgeries to manage the infection, to first save his life and second to save his limb. His first surgery required extensive removal of infected tissue that involved removing tissue from his leg that extended 21" long by 6" wide and 2" deep. This life/limb-saving surgery and hospitalization set him on a month-long journey where he had 5 surgeries/procedures. Daniel is not completely out of the woods, but he was discharged from the hospital on 12/08 and sent home to continue the recovery process. He is expected to be out of work until completely healed which will likely extend into early January 2025.
As anyone can imagine, the loss of work and mounting medical expenses would tax anyone.
It is my hope that during the holiday season, we can spread the word and help Daniel with this unexpected and unforeseen turn of events that he has and will continue to endure.
Any contributions and shares to help Daniel would be greatly helpful and appreciated! This will be a huge weight off his shoulders while he gets back on his feet and set him up on a positive note for 2025!
