My name is Daniel Petrocelli, guitarist from Maturín, Venezuela. I recently won a full scholarship to study the Master of Music with an emphasis in Classical Guitar at the University of Southern Mississippi under Dr. Nicholas Ciraldo.
This opportunity represents a dream come true and a great step towards advancing my career as a professional musician. The scholarship I received covers the full tuition of $24,661.
I still need $6870 to cover the personal expenses and flight tickets. That is why I turn to the community to request your support.
My passion for music began at a very young age and since then I have dedicated my life to perfecting my art. Over the years, I have been fortunate to be a finalist in important national and international competitions such as Alirio Diaz National Guitar Competition 2014, Alirio Diaz International Guitar Competition 2015, Rust International Guitar Competition 2020 (online version), which has been a recognition of the effort and dedication I have put into each note and each performance.
For the past 7 years, I have worked as a guitar instructor at the Saint Lucia School of Music, sharing my knowledge and love of music with talented young people. Additionally, I had the honor of serving as coordinator of music studies during the 2021-2023 period, contributing to the stabilization and adaptability of the curriculum in times of pandemic.
This opportunity to study at the University of Southern Mississippi not only represents a personal achievement, but also a possibility to continue promoting the richness of Venezuelan music internationally.
I am convinced that, with your help, I will be able to achieve this goal and continue growing as a musician and educator.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way towards achieving this goal. I thank you in advance for your generosity and support on this path to musical excellence.
Thank you for believing in my dream and for helping me make it come true.
