Help Daniel Secure Treatment and Stability

Hi, I'm Daniel, first of all, thank you for being here and for your support!

On June 16th, I experienced a mental health crisis that led to me being escorted to the ER and then admitted to the Hospital. I am so very thankful for the help of a trusted friend from church and my children who ensured I arrived safely as well as their continued support. It is with a humble heart that I write this and ask for your support. I cannot do this without your help.

After 4 days of treatment and therapy in the hospital, under 24hr a day protective observation and care by a team of mental health professionals, I was released. My next step is to attend a weekly intensive Hospital treatment program, 5 days a week, Monday through Friday from 8:30a-3:30p. The program has some flexibility built into it but is about 8 weeks total.
The intent of the doctors was that I would have moved directly from in-patient care into this program, the only reason that didn’t happen was because of my living and financial situation. I first needed to secure a place to live, and now need to enter this Hospital program as soon as possible.

This is why I am asking for your help and where you can make a difference in my life as well as the lives of my children, extended family, and you, my friends. Praise the Lord, He’s provided a great place for me to live with affordable rent! I’m asking you to prayerfully consider contributing so I can get the help I need to be the healthy. The amount I’m trying to raise is $5,000.
This will help cover rent, utilities, health related co-pays, car payments and insurance, as well as gas money for the daily commute to and from the hospital, tolls and packed lunches each day. During the 8 week program I’ll be able to continue looking for a job and study for the upcoming EMT exam but won’t be able to work full time until I’ve completed this much needed Mental Health Hospital treatment program.

Asking for your help does not come easy for me. The financial barriers, exacerbated by the change in my marital status after 26 years, have made it financially impossible for me to get into this much needed intensive therapy program at the Hospital and also keep a roof over my head.

I very much want to be the healthy and happy Dad and friend I once was. This mental health crisis has been an isolating and overwhelming experience and has taken a physical toll on my body, including extreme weight loss. I’ve gone from a 38” waistline to a 32” and as of last week I have finally stopped losing weight after dropping down to 182 lbs.

I’m a fighter, from male breast cancer and autoimmune diseases to homelessness and familial hardships. I’m ready to fight hard to get and stay healthy.
I’m believing that this season of my life, will be used to glorify Jesus, and bring awareness that mental and physical health are inseparable.

I can't fight this battle alone, so I am asking for your help and support. No matter how small the gift, every contribution counts. If you can’t contribute financially, please pray for me and even share this with others.

I want to win this mental health battle, and accept that I cannot beat this alone. I want so badly to be healthy, happy, and whole again. I cannot get through this without your support, love, and prayers. Thank you!
