In the early hours of Saturday, January 24, 2026, Daniel Shaw’s life changed in an instant. Daniel, just 21 years old, was involved in a serious car accident while riding home from a ski trip with several friends. Their truck went off the road and into a ditch.
As a result of the crash, Daniel and his friends sustained multiple injuries. Daniel sustained a traumatic brain injury, multiple significant facial fractures, a skull fracture, fractured eye socket, and spinal cord injury. Daniel is enduring extensive medical treatment and anticipates a long road to recovery—both physically and emotionally.
At only 21, Dan should be focused on building his future, saving for his goals, and eventually starting a family—not worrying about overwhelming medical bills and recovery expenses. Unfortunately, the costs associated with his care are already substantial and continue to grow.
This GoFundMe has been created to help support Daniel and his family during this incredibly difficult time. All donations will go toward medical bills, ongoing treatment, rehabilitation, living expenses, and recovery-related expenses. Every contribution—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference and help ease the financial burden as Dan focuses on healing and getting back to work.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping Daniel in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this challenging time.
