Update 1: Good news and bad news from the doctor app in Indianapolis. First I wanna preface that this doctor sat down with me for a hour and showed me mey scans and answered any questions and concerns I had regarding my health issues, Fun stuff I found out was my liver is fucking massive and so is my spleen. Good news is I'm not in any danger with my hernias for the time being. He needs me to lose 100lbs/45kgs in the next year to be eligible for the surgery since it is elective at this point. Bad news is I found out I have a massive gallstone so my gallbladder need to come out but it can wait till we do my surgery for the hernias. The doctor is going to keep in contact with me over the next year on a weekly basis. If im not able to lose weight as a consistent rate that he's happy with in 6 months he is going to recommend giving me a sleeve(cutting part of my stomach out) which I'm fine with. So we get to wait and see how the next six months with my diet and exercise. Here's to hoping for the best and I'll keep you all updated when if find out more as the next 6 months roll out. Hi, my name is Daniel. I'm currently facing a serious health issue involving two abdominal hernias — one large, around 18cm wide, and another smaller but more dangerous one, about 6cm wide. The smaller hernia is causing complications by tearing into the larger one, which puts me at risk of developing a 10–12 inch hole in my abdominal wall if left untreated.

Unfortunately, no local surgeons in my town are able to safely perform this complex surgery, so I’ve been referred to a specialist in Indianapolis, which is 3–5 hours away. The road to recovery isn’t simple — I’ve been told it will take multiple appointments before the surgeon is ready to move forward with the operation.

I’m not able to drive myself, but I do have a kind friend who’s offered to take me. However, they’ll need to take time off work, and I want to make sure they’re taken care of — with gas money, lodging, and some compensation for their time and support. Thankfully, I have state medical insurance that will cover the procedure itself, so the funds I’m asking for will only go toward travel and support expenses for these crucial trips.
