Help Daniel make-over his room

Donation protected
Hi all,

In celebration of Daniel's upcoming 26th birthday we’ve started on a room make-over project!

So far Jacobus has helped us build a built-in shelf (meaning he just built the shelf), we’ve re-arranged furniture, hung shelves, hung guitars, built a clothing rack, replaced the light, and crafted a master plan. The vision? A cozy room with soft lighting, good storage for everything, space to display art/objects, ACOUSTIC TREATMENTS for recording/mixing, space to move about when working on projects.

If you’d like to support this initiative you can:
  • Donate $$ (which we will use to buy items and materials for DIY Acoustic treatments)
  • Donate items we need. (List below. Contact me or Daniel if you have something.)
  • Take on a creative project. (Some ideas below. Feel free to contact me or Daniel if you'd like to take on a project or have another idea.)

Items wanted:
  • Under-bed storage containers. Hard plastic is preferred. (For under a queen sized bed that sits 6.5” above the floor.)
  • Ikea NYMÅNE - Floor lamp with 3-spotlights, white
  • Stained glass panel measuring 23” by 52” (or smaller)
  • Cool mood or bedside lamp. (emphasis on cool. Check with Daniel)
  • Sun lamp / Happy lamp
  • Cool, small, porthole mirror
  • Lava lamp

Creative projects:
  • Window Curtain: we are cutting a moving blanket to cover the window for sound absorption.. maybe you want to hand weave a tapestry that covers it!? Or something else: quilt, embroidery, etc. (Size: Two panels 40” by 70”)
  • Acoustic panels: A couple of these to mount around the room would be awesome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPEouyiEt3Q&ab_channel=42Pursuit
  • Crochet pendant light: We are planning to hang two pendant lights.. Some sort of crocheted shade would be cool!
  • Fun foam shelf items: Soft foam/fabric shapes to sit on a shelf and absorb sound? Not sure how much this will do, but, there’s lots of room to get creative!
  • Replace the door: If someone wanted to take on the project of replacing the door with something that is more soundproof.. That would be awesome.
