For those that don’t know me my name is Chlóe & I’ve had the privilege of calling Daniel and Laura Jenkins friends since 2017.

Since this time not only have I had the immense blessing of receiving their kindness, love and friendship but have witness them continuously give out to others on a daily basis without asking for anything in return.

Recently Daniels health has taken a turn for the worse and is recovering from sepsis. Laura, while battling her own health struggles alongside this has been sleeping on a mattress in the living room and will continue to do so for the foreseeable until Daniel is recovered but this may take some time.

This hasn’t just been a now problem but the basic provision of a bed that is suitable for them as a couple and individual has always been a challenge since I’ve met them.

Having a proper personalised adjustable bed so they can rest, recover, and face each day with strength would be so life enhancing.

A good bed is not a luxury — it’s a necessity for healing, health, and dignity.

Our goal is to raise enough to:

* Buy an adjustable bed suitable for their needs

* Provide quality bedding and covers to make it extra cosy

* Help with delivery and setup

A little bit about Daniel, Laura and their Son, Finnley

Daniel was born with spina bifida and underwent surgery at 19, which unfortunately left him paralysed from the waist down. He also lives with hydrocephalus and has a shunt fitted to help drain excess fluid from his brain. As a wheelchair user, he faces ongoing challenges, and he is currently recovering from post-sepsis syndrome following a recent battle with sepsis.

Laura has rickets, a condition that affects her muscles and bones, causing constant pain that is expected to worsen with age. She has been reliant on crutches for the past three years following a torn meniscus in one leg, from which she is still recovering.

Their Beautiful son Finnley who they adopted is now 6 years old. Finnley has autism and is nonverbal. He is an absolute joy.
