My name is Agnieszka Bochenek and I created this fundraiser to help raise funds for Daniel Kozub, my friend's son, who suffered brain injury earlier this year.

Daniel - 25 years old working his way through Harper College, loving, caring and wonderful son, brother and friend, on March 23rd, 2024 suffered a serious brain injury after falling off skateboard.

He has been in a medically induced coma for two months and underwent a number of brain surgeries. His health condition classifies him as disabled, however the rehabilitation he has recently started gives impressive results and there is a chance that he at least partially will recover from this horrible accident. The cost of rehabilitation and basic care for Daniel is overwhelming and his family cannot afford it. We kindly ask for your prayers and possible financial help to support Daniel with his fight for a better tomorrow.

Caring for Daniel at home will be extremely challenging for his family. However , his parents are hopeful that having their son at home in familiar surroundings will help him progress physically, cognitively and emotionally.

Your donations will help cover the cost of speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy. Also, your contributions will help defray the expenses of the home care, including visits by caretakers. Initially, Daniel will need care 24/7.
