Help Daniel Jr. Continue His Life-Changing Therapy
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Daniel, and I’m the proud father of Daniel Jr. (DJ), my amazing 8-year-old son. I have been raising DJ on my own, without any external support, and he has been my world since the day he was born five weeks premature.
DJ was born with bilateral clubfoot and has undergone multiple surgeries. Against all odds, he now walks and runs like any other child his age. But DJ faces much greater challenges—he has Level 3 Autism and is non-verbal. His journey has been filled with trials, setbacks, and disruptions, particularly in accessing consistent therapy, which has significantly impacted his development and caused painful regression in the past.
Over the last year, DJ has finally been receiving consistent, specialized therapy five days a week. In this time, we’ve witnessed truly life-changing progress. He has learned to use the toilet independently, begun to communicate using assistive devices, and made significant strides in his daily functioning. For DJ, therapy has been nothing short of transformational—it has reduced his frustration, empowered him to express his needs, and brought a new sense of peace and possibility to both of our lives.
However, we are now facing a heartbreaking interruption. While DJ is scheduled to receive government funding for his therapy starting at the end of July, we cannot afford the cost of therapy for May, June, and most of July. Without support, his therapy will be forced to stop. I am urgently trying to raise $11,500 to bridge this critical gap and ensure that DJ doesn’t lose access to the care he desperately needs.
The consequences of stopping therapy are severe. In the past, breaks in therapy have led to serious regression in DJ’s progress. Additionally, if we lose his current spot at the therapy center, he may have to wait months to re-enroll—as it took us 8 months to secure his current place.
Along with other programs, DJ has recently started both a food and hygiene program through therapy—addressing his very restricted diet and essential life skills. Discontinuing now would not only reverse the progress he’s made but could also cause significant emotional and psychological distress.
I work full-time and provide for our family, but I simply cannot meet the high cost of DJ’s intensive therapy on my own. As a father, it’s deeply painful to feel like I’m failing to give my son the support he needs to live a full, independent life. I am reaching out with humility and love for my son, asking for help during this critical moment.
Your support—no matter the amount—can make a real difference in DJ’s future. Every dollar raised will go directly toward continuing his therapy without interruption, allowing him to keep building on the incredible progress he’s made.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for considering helping my son. Your generosity means more than words can express.
With gratitude,
Daniel
