This GoFundMe was created to help Daniel Howell's family. Daniel and his young son were in a horrific ATV accident on October 1st, 2025.

Daniel, his wife, young son, and newborn son (2 months) live in a very rural area. While traveling down a ridge to get back home, the ATV's gas throttle malfunctioned, causing the ATV to accelerate quickly while traveling downhill on steep terrain. Daniel, his young son, and a family friend were all traveling on the ATV. They ended up violently crashing into some trees, causing significant injuries to both men and serious injury to the son. The ATV received massive damage, including the crossbar being snapped, broken axles, and a twisted frame that trapped Daniel inside.

Daniel and his son were both transported by helicopter. Daniel was flown to a trauma center and the son to a pediatric hospital. Daniel had the most severe injuries. He suffered massive head trauma, most bones on the left side of his face were broken, fractured skull, damage to the left eye and ear, and both shoulders injured. The left clavicle and shoulder blade were broken. Daniel is also left-handed. He underwent multiple surgeries. His heart stopped during the intensive head surgery, but God said, "Son, it is not your time." He also had surgery on the left shoulder, which needed pins and plates to repair. His son was released a few days later with a few stitches, a broken nose, and facial bruising.

We are so thankful God had His arms around them and was protecting them from any further injuries and saving their lives. Daniel has a long road to recovery. He will be out of work for many months, with a newborn baby, and his wife at home caring for them all. We know their financial situation will be tight without him being able to work.

Our goal is to help them out as much as possible so they can continue to heal and recover without the weight of worrying about bills. As well how much their current and future medical bills will be.
