Help Daniel have surgery before he turns 40!
Donation protected

In 2012 I began the journey of gender transition to help my body match who I've always known myself to be. Hormone replacement therapy and top surgery greatly improved my self confidence and helped me move through the world. In the following years I have explored all my options and worked very hard to understand what I really need to feel complete. As much as I'd like to avoid any further surgery, I've come to understand I won't feel I've finished my transition without it.
I have now arrived at the right time for the last big step. I am scheduled for lower surgery on February 8, 2021.
I am having surgery with what I believe is the best practice in the country for transgender surgery, which is in Austin, Texas. We have saved and prepared as best we can for this. We are lucky to have insurance coverage, but we also have a large out of pocket co-pay in addition to travel, lodging, and after care. This fund will assist my family with those expenses and provide peace of mind at this time. I will need to be Austin for at least a month , Crystal and Andrew will come down for two weeks and Dawn will cover the last week of care and fly back with me.
We also so appreciate your support and cheerleading! This is kinda a big deal for our whole family during what is already a stressful time. But, if I have learned one thing through my transition- putting off what needs to be done only makes things worse. Never wait as you move towards your true self. Get there as soon as you can. What could be more important?
It's very important to me to express my appreciation to anyone who is able to donate. If you include your address, I will send you a limited edition Cabin Critters thank you gift! Pictured below are some of the things I've made, ready to be shipped.

Feel free to share this fundraiser with people you think will be supportive and/or would like a Cabin Critter gift!
THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL YOU AMAZING PEOPLE!!
