Daniel Goldsmith is a pianist and music teacher based in Santa Cruz, California. For the past 20+ years of his life as local professional musician Daniel has been working as a freelance accompanist, piano teacher, studio performer and educator. Daniel has been involved with a variety of local schools, has been musical director for many theater programs, including Cabrilllo College productions and is currently employed at Aptos United Methodist Church.
Having received his bachelor's degree in piano performance from The University of the Pacific, Daniel has decided to continue his educational and musical journey by attending a graduate program at Boston Conservatory starting in the spring semester of 2023. https://bostonconservatory.berklee.edu/ Daniel is very excited about this new chapter and looks forward to it. However, with the rising tuition and housing costs, he needs significant help to afford such a huge undertaking. The people of Aptos United Methodist Church have started this page and hope all of you that know and love Daniel can help support him financially through this page and please know that every little bit counts. Below are some words from the man himself.
“Hey all, Daniel here. While it’s very much not in my nature to ask for financial help, the incredibly kind people at Aptos United Methodist Church have offered to facilitate this GoFundMe page to, well, ‘Fund Me’ as I prepare to uproot my life and relocate to Boston for this upcoming semester. For years it has become clear that the next step to further my dreams in the classical music world is to continue down the path of education and receive a master’s degree. While I’m extremely excited about the prospect of once again studying in a music conservatory, the thought of shouldering the financial load is daunting, to say the least. Any dollar you wonderful people could spare to help sponsor this journey of mine will help put a roof over my head, a textbook in my hands or even buy me a cup of coffee to make the long days a little easier. I can’t express enough how much even the smallest bit would mean to me. Love and thanks to you all.”
Thank you for any help you can give Daniel. He deserves it!
