Support Daniel to be safe & warm off the streets!

Hi, I'm Hilary and a lovely 60 year old man has been sleeping rough out the front of our house. He has diabetes, tumours and hernias but due to not having a fixed address, he cannot get medical support at the hospital or ongoing.

He is on the wait lists for numerous charities for crisis accomodation but with this sector in crisis, due to the demand- he hasn't found any.

He didn't come to me for help. We watched from our house as he discreetly hid his plastic bags with his belongings (he has been robbed a few times recently & lost everything) in the bushes near our house whilst he went to shelters for food and water. He has cold showers at a place nearby.

Last night on Easter Sunday I invited him in for a hot shower and dinner & he shared his really sad story. Like many homeless, he has endured huge trauma, abandonment & hasn't been looked after. He admits he could have done some things better but he says he would rather look forward than back.

As the nights get colder, its a priority to get him accomodation and health care. In the interim he says he would love a swag to sleep in.

At your request I have started this so I can accumulate anything donated and funnelled into accomodation for him, coles vouchers etc.
