In 2019, my life changed when I suffered a spinal cord injury that affected the use of my legs, I was engaged in physical therapy until March 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic swept the globe and shut down physical therapy until September 2021, due to the disruption in physical therapy, my legs atrophied and became very weak to where I’m not able to move them on my own, I am not paralyzed despite this. Since then, I have been working hard every day to regain as much mobility and independence as possible. The journey has been challenging, but I remain hopeful and determined to keep moving forward.
Recently, I had the opportunity to complete a trial with the RT-300 FES bike by Restorative Therapies. The results were incredibly encouraging—I was actually able to pedal the machine on my own. This experience gave me hope and showed me that with the right equipment, I can continue to make progress in my recovery. Having the RT-300 FES bike at home would allow me to keep building strength, improve my health, and work toward greater independence.
I am reaching out to ask for your support. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference in helping me acquire this life-changing equipment. If you are unable to donate, simply sharing my story would mean the world to me. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for any help you can offer.
