Daniel James Jacobs on April 22nd had a large bottle rocket in his right hand and lit it, it exploded immediately! Luckily his Grandpa was near and able to rush him to the Milan hospital where he met his mom. The Milan team life flighted him to MU in Columbia right away. Unfortunately he did lose his thumb, pointer finger, middle finger and a piece of his palm from this horrific accident. He is stable over all. However he busted both ear drums, and his left eye is not out of the woods yet, he did fracture the floor of the eye socket, lots of swelling and blood is restricting his ability to see out of it. He also has several burns and cuts covering the upper half of his body. He is receiving excellent care and his spirits are doing well. He will undergo his 2nd surgery Sunday the 26th and then a 3rd surgery for skin grafting in 2-3 weeks. Next step will be starting the process of a prosthetic hand. This is a very difficult time for him. ❤️ No amount is too small if anyone wants/can help out.
