Help with my livelihood… My Truck

EDIT: I have changed the gofundme to reflect an accident I had gotten into. Unfortunately on June 13, I was involved in a no fault accident that is going to cripple me financially and don’t know what else to do. Please see the update, thank you and God Bless.

My name is Daniel. I posted a video of my truck on TikTok about trying to raise some money for a new transmission for my truck. I work full time, while working on building my business; I had just purchased a new to me 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually to be able to start offering more services to help get my business off the ground. Many folks on TikTok asked if I would be interested in making a GoFundMe, of course I hesitated until enough people asked about it.

I am an electrician by trade, and absolutely love my profession; I spent months studying to get my license and took an 8 hour test to get my unrestricted master electrical license, I wanted to start by purchasing a truck that would help me run my own business and even purchase a trailer to work out of so that I can have a place to store all my tools and equipment, but since the truck purchase, I’ve had to get injectors, fix some wiring issues, replace the fuel system, rebuild the turbo, and now I’m having transmission issues.

Recently my transmission started to act up, at first it would shift too soft, and then started shifting too harsh, I found out an internal problem that was causing it to shift funny, and thought I fixed it by replacing the fluid, filter, and two sensors that were known to go bad.

Unfortunately that didn’t help, so I reached out to multiple people who rebuild transmissions, and many wanted over 9 - 12k… so I finally found someone who builds transmissions for race applications, towing, and even competition. I found a good solid highly recommended and upgraded transmission that would literally outlast the truck, and I wouldn’t ever have to deal with transmission issues again for a very, very long time.

With that being said, my TikTok family and followers wanted me to make one, and I decided to go ahead and try! Thanks so much for reading!

The first thing the funds will be used for, is purchasing of the transmission, which will cost around 7,000. Anything extra will go toward other things to help make this truck reliable for a very long time, or even toward tools or equipment! I will update as time goes on and if this GoFundMe expands!
