Young man Needs Lifesaving Hip Replacement Surgery

Donation protected
My name is Daniel Ennis and I’m a 22-year-old Jamaican who has spent most of his life fighting battles that many can’t see. When I was just a child, I was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML)—a rare and life-threatening cancer. Through faith, medical treatment, and unrelenting willpower, I survived. But the medications that saved my life have left behind devastating effects, one of which is Avascular Necrosis (AVN)—a painful, degenerative bone disease caused by reduced blood flow to my hip.

Today, I am living with Stage 5A AVN in my right hip, and it has stolen my ability to walk properly. Every step I take is filled with pain, and every movement is a challenge. My only hope now is a total hip replacement surgery, which costs J$3.5 million (US 21,900.00), an amount my family and I simply can't afford. Without this surgery, my condition will continue to worsen, possibly affecting other joints, organs, or even my life.

Despite all this, I’ve never stopped fighting or studying. From Jessie Ripoll Primary School to Wolmer’s High School for Boys, I pursued my love of the sciences. That passion carried me to the University of the West Indies (UWI) where I recently completed my Bachelor of Science in Basic Medical Sciences (Pharmacology) with First Class Honours.

I am expected to graduate in November 2025, and I dream of becoming someone who can help others medically, emotionally, and even technologically. But right now, my body is failing me, and I need your help to get through this next fight.
